Simple job timer application (java2)

Status:

This program is currently in the very early stages of development. Let's call it V0.1!

Planned features:

The following are features and improvements planned for the next release (V0.2). Any feedback or suggestions for additional features will be welcomed and can be sent to info@pdl.uk.com.

• Better layout on the main job list
• New graphics & icons (by Fran)
• Incorporate the timer in the current job row of the table rather than the toolbar
• Editing of job details
• Add a menu bar
• Export of results as CSV file
• Option to delete all jobs
• Savable sessions for remembering window size etc. (this is now working in tests and will be included in V0.2)
• XML file format (this is now working in tests and will be included in V0.2)
• V0.2 will feature the Metaoui Look & Feel by default - very nice!

Some possible plans for the V0.3 release (or later) include:

• Store additional job information such as hourly rates
• Export to MS Excel/Openoffice.org format
• Printable reports per client
• Code-signing with a proper Verisign certificate

Licence

When this program is actually worth something (ie: more features, cleaner code etc.) the intention is to release it under an open-source licence.
